What is with AI generated slop and synthesizers?

I saw this obviously AI generated article about 90s drum machines and, after seeing a video about an obviously AI-generated book about Casio synthesizers, all I can say is what the hell is going on? What’s the point in even making AI generated slop about synthesizers, drum machines, and stuff like that?

Like, anyone who knows literally anything about music technology can tell you that, unlike the slop article, sampling, MIDI, and digital synthesis existed well before the 1990s—a decade’s worth of cheesy D-50, DX7, LinnDrum, and OBX-filled music can easily prove that, not to mention the Synclaviers and digital Buchlas. Hell, the slop article mentions two songs in particle, “Cracklin’ Rose by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince” and “Technologic by 2 Unlimited” that are just flat out wrong—I don’t think that DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith would have ever bothered to cover a shitty Neil Diamond song, and fucking 2 Unlimited could have never released a Daft Punk song from the 2000s in the 90s. Fucking hell. Oh yeah, and the slop article also mentions that the TR-707 is the “successor to the popular TR-77,” as if there were no drum machines between the TR-77 and 707.

Hell, it’s obvious that the website was generated with the prompt “analog,” because the shitty AI writing the thing obviously is trying to cater to the analog-only crowd by saying that everything has either an “analog sound,” or something like that. Obviously, this website is just SEO spam, but I do find it interesting why anyone would care about making AI generated bullshit for synthesizer nerds. What is it with this sudden influx of slop?—like, not just for enterprising new musicians who just downloaded FL Studio, but weirdo nerds that are interested in 90s digital drum machines? Synthesizer nerds can barely handle it when people conflate FM and PM synthesis, let alone getting nearly every single fact about well-known drum machines wrong, so what’s the point? It’s not even like my ad-blocker was going crazy on the slop-site either.
